Hard Day's Night
If you drove past my house last night and heard some screaming and shrill noises, don't be alarmed. We're all ok. Fred and I were just playing The Beatles Rock Band game on the Wii. My grandfather came over last night for dinner and we gave him a show afterwards. I think he felt like we were holding him hostage and making him listen to our awful musical skills. He did not want to partake on any of the fun.
I must say that I am an awesome singer of The Beatles songs. My lowest score was 90% and that was on a song I didn't know (something from the early days). But, I am not as good on the drums or the guitar. I guess I'll have to keep practicing. Now, my singing skills are not so good in real life. I know that I would definitely get air time in the "American Idol" auditions. Yes, I am that bad.
Fred bought us the Rock Band because I love The Beatles. Paul McCartney was the first concert I ever went to. I was in the fifth grade. I actually went to it twice, once in Memphis and once in Orlando. No, my parents and I weren't roadies. Awesome show!!
On Friday, two of my co-workers were listening to digitally remastered Beatles cds. I felt like I was in a 1968 dorm room. So, we got on the subject of Rock Band and I said that I wanted to play it since I had never played it. So, Saturday, my loving husband surprised me with it. I was so excited.
I wonder when they'll come out with Pop Band. I could totally break out all of my Britney Spears/NSYNC moves.
Fred is learning to be a Beatles fan. I've converted him, although he butchered "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
So, if you drive by and hear loud noises, don't be alarmed, we're all ok. We're just rocking out!!!
