I Must Confess

I debated whether or not to tell you all this, but I wanted this to be a place where all of you could hold me accountable when I get crazy ideas for goals. So, I have a confession...

Remember the girl who was going to run the entire 5K in the Race for the Cure? Well, she no longer exists.

Race for the Cure is this weekend and while I am signed up to participate, I will not be running the 5K. My training lasted a week and I never met my goal. FAIL!

I probably won't even go to the race because I still feel weak and because it's supposed to RAIN! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Part of this is contributed to the fact that it rains like every day here and has since I got this bright idea. And the other part of it is that I just used rain as an excuse.

I am not proud of this. I am embarassed. I had good intentions, but what went wrong? Maybe next time I'll think twice about publicizing goals. :)

So, there you have it. That's my confession. Whew, I feel much better.

P.S. "This Is It" was amazing. RIP Michael!

At least you had good intentions to run! I heard that This is It was really good..so I guess I'm gonna have to see it now that everyone keeps saying that.

Bless your heart- at least you were honest. Walking would still be great exercise if you wanted to do it, too! I know, I despise the rain as well...

Good for you for the honesty! It was a HUGE goal - maybe try to set some smaller ones :)

Hi Caroline, I just came across your blog from Kelly's Korner, and saw your race post. First of all, I pledged Phi Mu at the U of Memphis, so we "almost" have something in common...since Phi Mu and ADPi are almost identical! haha Also, I never thought I would run a 5k either...but I have now done 6 of them, and am now signed up to do an 8k next weekend. I've never been a runner my entire life, so if I can do it, then you can do it. I promise!! It doesn't matter if you run or walk, it's doing it that matters...and I promise you, if you decide to do a 5k, it's the BEST feeling in the world coming across that finish line. I think you will surprise yourself with what you can do in one of those races...try one out!!! You can look on my blog to see some of my races. If I can do a 5k, anyone can!!! Good luck!!!

Don't beat yourself up over it. You definitely had good intentions and that is what’s important. I've done similar things on my blog like when I say I'm going to commit to a big diet or something. I'm keeping that stuff to myself from now on...lol!

I'm glad you liked the movie. I really hope to get out and see it.
