Show Us Where You Live Friday: Nurseries

It's Friday again and you know what that means! It's "Show Us Where You Live Friday" over at Kelly's Korner.

This week the featured room is a nursery or a child's room. As you know, Fred and I don't have any human children yet and we aren't expecting anytime soon. But, I decided to go ahead and participate because we do have one empty room in our house that we have designated as the nursery. When the time is right and things have settled down, we'll be hearing the pitter patter of little feet.

Here will be the nursery:

Lots of closet space:
Bathroom connected to bedroom:
Just because we don't have children yet, doesn't mean that I can't think of decorating ideas for the room. I definitely want dark furniture for the baby and I would also like one of those expensive cribs that converts into a toddler bed. That way, you're getting two beds for one. So, here are some ideas:

For a boy:
We all know how much I love my dog; so, I love the idea of a puppy themed room.

Sorry, but it's the best picture I could find. I am also a big fan of the jungle themed room. I think it's fun and easy to decorate with stuffed animals.

For a girl:
I love chandeliers in girl's rooms. I think they're so elegant. We all know how much I love pink and brown too. I want to have monogrammed things and little sayings for the room too.

Show Us Where You Live Friday (Sunday): Dining Room Edition

This week's edition of "Show Us Where You Live Friday" at Kelly's Korner is featuring dining rooms.

We don't do a lot or any entertaining. I love the red chairs, but I am not crazy about the glass table. It was a "hand-me-down" from my parents when they had a home in Florida while I was in college.

Here's our dining room:

Knox Digs His Toes and Nose Into the Sand

After traveling to Panama City and Georgia for work, it feels good to be back home.

Best Beach Getaways didn't disappoint. Our condo was great and we had a great time. It was mostly cloudy and very windy the entire time we were there, but we made the best of it.

Knox loved the beach. This was his first experience.

Show Us Where You Live Friday: Guest Rooms

It's Show Us Where You Live Friday! Hosted by Kelly's Korner! This week's featured room is the Guest Room.

Fred and I have three guest rooms and we never have any guests. Two have furniture in them and one is completely empty because it will one day be a nursery (I'll save this one for child's room/nursery week). They are all located upstairs and we never go up there, but here they are.

Room #1 (The ADPi Room):
The furniture from this room came from our house in Florida.

Guest Room #2:
The furniture in this room was actually the first bedroom suit my parents bought after they were married (33 years ago on June 5).

75 Jazzercise

Today will be my 75th class of the year at Jazzercise. I am so excited. I've never made it to this many classes in a whole year. I am proud of myself. And yes, it does show!

That Big Ball of Fire in the Sky

It seems as though we haven't seen the sun in quite some time. This afternoon, the sun emerged from behind the clouds for a few hours. I was able to snap a picture of Knox sunbathing. He's just like his mommy. He loves the sun and warm weather!

Show Us Where You Live Fridays: Living Room Edition

It's Living Rooms this week over on Kelly's Korner. I must say that this is one of my least favorite rooms in my house. The furniture is hand-me-down furniture from my parents. I absolutely despise the glass coffee table and end tables. This is definitely my next BIG project in the house.
