Do You Bunco?

One of my resolutions, that I didn't mention, was to be a better friend. I have to admit it. I have an excuse for everything. I hate it, but I do. It's not even because I don't like someone or don't want to go or do something specific. I am just weird like this. I like to stay at home and watch tv and go to bed at 10pm. If you hate me now and want to stop following, I'll understand.

Well, I've been tested. I've been invited to sub in a Bunco game tonight. I've never played and I don't even know what it is. I was invited by a friend of mine, who I haven't seen in quite some time, and luckily, I know most of the other ladies playing. Normally, I would have said "no" to the Bunco game, but I thought that I needed to try something different and step out of my comfort zone. I even told her that I didn't know how to play and that I would be coming straight from Jazzercise and I might smell. (See, I think I was trying to find excuses). Since neither of these issues were a problem, I've agreed to play. I think knowing most of the other ladies helped. I am nervous and excited because I don't know what to expect. Do you Bunco? Are there any tips?

There's no use in hiding anymore. Now you know my deep, dark secret. Don't hate me!

P.S. Mason would like to thank each of you for his comments. Tommy is here to stay. And he's not weird for naming his knight Tommy. There's a story behind it.

Oh Caroline, I read the first paragraph from this blog and I swear it sounds exactly like me to a "T"!!! I am so glad that there is someone else my age who is like this because quite frankly sometimes it makes me feel old. There is NO place like HOME!
Also I have heard Buunco is so much fun but I have never played it. Good Luck and Have fun!

I am the exact same way! Sadly a lot of my friends do not live close by so I have even less of a reason to leave the house. Have fun at Bunco...my mom plays but now they don't actually play Bunco..they just drink and talk haha. We call it Drunko.

I hate to leave this in your comments but I can't find your email address. I saw this contest for a chance to win $1,000 and a trip to NYC with your dog and thought of you. This is my sister in laws blog but it has all the info on it.

When I come to Memphis to visit my mom, we will have to meet. Of course, it'll be before 6pm because I like to stay home and be in bed by 10, too!

I've never played plain dice Bunco, but I have played dice and cards Bunco. I am jealous!

Wow I think you and I must have been separated at birth! I am EXACTLY the same way! I almost always want to say no when I'm invited to something. It's so bad but I can't help it! :)

I LOVE Bunco...I can get loud and out of control and outrageously competitive...but I love it! Make sure you let us know how you did/if you liked it! (or LOVED it like me! :) )

You sound like me. I am such a bad friend sometimes. I just like to be alone and that's not a good thing, right?
My sis and her friends play bunco, I would love to get in a group and start playing.
Have a great day, thank you for your sweet comments the other day!

You are going to have so much fun! We play Bunco with a group of girlfriends once a month, and it's so much fun! At first I was hesitant, not going to lie, but now I am the Bunco Queen! I thought it was hard and for old laddies, but nope. It's a blast and talk about a great ladies night!
