30 Day Shred Update


I know I talk about Jillian Michaels' "30 Day Shred" A LOT, but it works! I can really tell a difference in the strength in my arms and abs. I can also tell that I have more endurance and stamina at Jazzercise. I recently started a Pilates class and my flexibility and range of motion has improved. I am able to do more planks and reps thanks to this dvd.

Now, I do not do it on a daily basis. I do it when I can't go to Jazzercise or Pilates. I'm on Level 3 now and I love it! I feel so powerful when those 30 minutes are up.

I've even gone back and done Level 1 using the weights for jumping jacks, kicks and such. It's things I've learned in Level 3 to make Level 1 harder and giving me a different workout.

I've only lost 3 pounds, but I can tell that I've built muscle and that's more important than the number on the scale.

Do you have any other tricks for the workouts? How are you feeling now that you've been doing the "30 Day Shred"?

In other news, I hit my 25th class of the year at Jazzercise last night! I am a little behind schedule due to snow and illness, but my next goal is to at least reach 50 classes before we leave on our anniversary trip. It's "do-able", right?

I LOVE the Shred. I am on level 3 not to and 5lb weights. I haven't lost much on the scale but can for sure tell I've lost fat and gained muscle.

I'm working my way through it, I'm on level 2 right now and am planning to do a post when I move up to level 3 but so far so good!

I love The Shred and I can tell a difference as well! I think it is great! And I like that it doesn't take up too much time! I don't have a lot to spare!

i was love love loving the shred up until i screwed my ankle up and had to stop for a while. but its finally better and im going to start back up soon! oh and where do you go to jazzercise at? do you like it? we both live in memphis and i am really wanting to go to some sort of class instead of the same work out every single day!! thanks! hope your day is great!

OK I'm just gonna say it...you make me SICK! Haha! I'm such a loser I may work out once a week if that. Ugh...I really do try to eat healthy but I just too stinking tired at night to work out. I'm sure I would have more energy if I did work out though:)

I love it to! Level 2 is not my fav...havn't tried 3 yet. I think I am going to try mixing it up more now. I did level 1 again the other day and I was surprised how sore I was...I think it works you really differently than 2!

3 pounds is 3 pounds!!! You are doing great-- I am very impressed... maybe I need to jump on the train since you and Heather are doing so well with this!!! I need to switch things up a bit

and yes go you on the jazzercise!!

Ah, I love Shred. Jillian really can kick a girls butt - As soon as I finish with this 1/2 marathon I have coming up I am getting back on the Shred plan!

Good job for you for working so hard! I bet your legs & arms are getting super toned! That's always fun to be able to see on yourself!
