I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. We had terrible weather on Saturday. Ever since I got hit by fence boards while driving last year in a storm, I've been scared of storms. After the bad storms had passed and the sun was out, our power went out. It was out for about 3 hours, but it was actually good timing because we were able to take Knox for a walk and go grab a bite to eat. When we got home, our power was back on.
When the power was on, we spent several hours this weekend catching up on our television shows. When you go out of town for a week, you somehow get so far behind on your shows.
I also had my first experience at Chuck E. Cheese this weekend. It was Fred's nephew's 8th birthday and we made an appearance at the party. I must say the pizza was actually tasty. And I schooled Fred at Skeeball!!! He beat me in one game, but I beat him every other time. He also claims that I stole tickets because there were tickets hanging out of this machine and there weren't any kids around and I took the tickets to give them to Brandon (the birthday boy). I also had to stop this baby from taking my tickets out of the Skeeball machine. I felt like I was 8 again. :)
Here's a pic of the birthday boy (with Fred in the background):
Yesterday, I worked on finding people for our class reunion, worked on finalizing room lists for our golf tournament next week, trimmed the bushes, pulled weeds, cleaned pollen off of the patio furniture, cleaned the windows. I don't know what's gotten into me. Fred was gone helping his parents for the majority of the day yesterday; so, if you're wondering he wasn't helping.
I feel like I got so much accomplished this weekend, but now I need a few days to recover. Wasn't life easier when you were a kid at Chuck E. Cheese?
So, what did you do this weekend?
