Wishful Wednesday: Lost

I wish...I hadn't lost...wait, I wish Fred hadn't lost his first wedding ring.

Fred and I had to go out to Napa, California for work and we had just been married for 2 months. And one day while we were in a meeting, Fred looked down and his wedding ring was gone. I had an eye infection in both eyes; so, I wasn't feeling great and I wasn't much help looking for the ring. We tore up the building and our hotel room and NOTHING.

When we got home and we were throwing our clothes in the washer, we heard something metal hit the tile floor and roll. We got so excited and we tore up the washroom and NOTHING.

I think Fred was just so glad that I was with him instead of having to come home and explain losing his wedding ring on a business trip.

After we got home, we bought him a new wedding band and he's had it ever since (knock on wood).

{The last picture we have of Fred with his original ring at Alcatraz}

So, what do you wish you wouldn't have lost? Visit The Seattle Smith's and tell us.

Gary lost his first wedding ring in the lake one summer. Ugghhh! But when he got his new ring I got a fun new ring too. So it worked out ok in the end.

My dad lost his first wedding ring too just weeks after the wedding at the beach - the ocean pulled it right off of his skinny little finger! He was a tiny beanpole then, they probably didn't make rings small enough for him ;) Thanks goodness he's had this second one for 35 years now - there's hope for Fred!

Oh no! Kurt lost his for like a day once and we were searching frantically. Fortunately, he found it, but I definitely thought we were going to be buying a new one!

Tell Fred I feel his pain. I lost my first engagement ring in a lagoon in Hawaii. It's the ONLY thing I am sad about losing. Tom never lets me forget it either:(

AH that is scary! My dad's wedding band fell off when he dove into the ocean on his honeymoon in Aruba... he never replaced it! Jewelry gives him a rash - so he always looks like a single stud.

I washed Jacob's ring down the drain on accident....the morning of my grad school graduation. We've never gotten another one b/c he has to take it off every day to scrub in at the hospital.
