The Last Song

Ok, now it's 5 books in 5 weeks. I am amazed at myself. :)

I FINALLY finished The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. It took me a while to get over Miley Cyrus being the main character, but once I did, I couldn't put the book down! Seriously, y'all, it was that good. It took everything in me to pick up the book and start reading it again, but I am so glad I did.

This was a great read with great messages in the story. But, be sure to have a box of Kleenex handy!

I know the movie isn't as great as the book, but I am interested in seeing how it all plays out. Have you seen the movie? Is it different? If so, was it better? Worse? Now that I've finished the book, I can totally see Miley as Ronnie. Anyone else?

Up next...
Can you tell I am a BIG Nicholas Sparks fan? Thank you for all of your suggestions. I am still open to more. Here are some other books I'm planning on reading...

Summer at Tiffany: A Memoir by Marjorie Hart
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler

Can I be eight for eight? We shall see!

The Lucky one is a really nice story! I also enjoyed Summer at Tiffanys!! I just finished Water for Elephants! It was very good and I think Reese Witherspoon is going to be in the movie!

I was dissapointed by the movie because to me they left out ALOT of plot lines that were really important to the moral of the story.

The Lucky One is so sweet!! I started reading another Nicholas Sparks book a few weeks ago I'll have to share the name of it with you when I get home and look at it! haha

I have never read any Nicholas Sparks books, but I saw the movie (Last Song). Bad acting, but a great story line. Are all his books sad?

I enjoyed the Lucky One even more than the Last Song. I like Nicholas Sparks a lot too, but I can only read a few of his at a time, and then I've got to read something else.

I like the book better than the movie. The book had a lot more details, but I guess you can't put EVERYTHING into a movie. My mom told me that Nicholas Sparks actually wrote the screenplay for that movie before he wrote the book.

Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson is also really good.

Dang girl! You're on a roll! Where do you find the free time to get through it all?

My husband and I read together. Right now we're going through the Harry Potter series. I know it sounds dorky, but it's actually pretty fun!

i just finished the last song as well! such a good book!
i was at the pool and i was about 100 pages out and i started crying (i've never cried during a book before in my life!) so i flipped onto my stomach so no one could see me cry - and i thought i could get my composure and then flip over to tan my front - well the water works kept coming.. causing me to burn my backside.. but i finished he book - i think its one of the better books he has written!

I just finished The Last Song this morning. I couldn't put it down but cried so much! My sister called and thought something had happened because she could tell in my voice that I had been crying :) I love all of Nicholas Sparks' books; however, they always make me cry.

I love Nicholas Sparks! Although I have not read The Last Song yet, I plan to wait until after I watch the movie. Reading Dear John and then seeing the movie was a huge let down for me. Nicholas' books are always better than the movies! I recently finished The Guardian and it was SO fabulous!

I'm a huge Nicholas Sparks fan too. I loved The Last Song and the movie too, I still would have liked to see someone else as Ronnie though. I don't like Miley Cyrus either......I haven't read that book yet, but plan on after I finish the other ones you recommended by Emily Griffin. I swear, maybe you should start a book club, Caroline!!!!

Definitely read the early Nicholas Sparks if you haven't - they are the best!

The movie The Last Song was pretty good. It took me a while to get into the book, but I liked it, too!

Do you like Karen Kingsbury? If you haven't tried her, you should!
