The Weekend Never Looked So Good

Hello, Friday! I greet you with open arms and a HUGE smile...

This has been an exciting and busy week around the Smithwick house!

I received all of my information about Junior League. Our first "meeting" is a retreat on August 14. Although I will not be able to participate in some of the activities, I am excited to meet some of the other provisional members. My provisional advisor is Lauren. I'm so excited because I'll at least I know someone!!!I've been spending the majority of this week getting myself and the house ready for my surgery. I've stocked up on Knox's food and dog treats. And I've packed a little overnight bag for the hospital. (I'm praying that it's just for one night) And I've tried to clean up all of my to-do lists, at least for now. I'm trying to be prepared and make it easier on Fred. All of our clothes will be washed, folded and put away and all of the dishes will be washed by Wednesday.

It's also going to be a busy weekend. Tonight, my friend Kendra and I are going to see Cats. I'm not sure if I'm excited, dreading it or what, but it'll be nice to have a girl's night. Have you seen Cats? What can I expect?
And on Sunday, Fred and I are having some friends over for a "True Blood" watch party. We love the show and so do some of our friends; so, why not use it as an excuse to get together. Fred will be making his famous fajitas. I'll divulge the secret ingredient on Monday! Hopefully with everything going on this weekend, I'll get to enjoy myself and stop worrying about my surgery on Thursday. I want to warn you that I may not be blogging for a few days, but I will return. Have a great weekend, y'all!!!

Enjoy your weekend! I've seen Cats twice and although it's not my favorite musical it's still really good. Most of the music is pretty fun and upbeat with ridiculous lyrics.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. I wish I had so many wonderful things planned.

Cats should be wonderful depending on what production. When done well its fantastic.

True blood-Is better when you have others to discuss the craziness that is going on. (Did you read any of the books?)

Prayers are lifted up for you during your surgry and your recovery.

I loved Cats - I was little when I saw it in London and got scared when one of the "cats" tried to touch me and since then I can't sit on the end of the aisle during a play. I did love the rest of the show though! I'd love to see it again now that I'm older!! Hope you enjoyed it!
