Dressing the Part

Since I've started going to Pure Barre a little more, I've noticed a fashion trend throughout the class. Several women are sporting Lululemon sports wear. While I find the clothes super cute, I just can't justify spending $98 on workout pants and $52 for tops. Here are some of the outfits I really loving:

Astro Pant
Inner Awareness Tank
Groove Pant
Scoop Neck Tank

Aren't they cute? I really want to look the part, but they're a little out of my budget now. Maybe one day, right?! Do you guys own any Lululemon clothing? If so, is it worth the money?

Gap has a fairly new workout line, and it's got some really cute stuff!

I also looked there and thought the prices were crazy! I bought a really cute outfit from Wal-mart the other day - seriously! Pretty color tank top and crop pants! I'd rather spend money on my real clothes :)

I feel the same way you do, can't SFO it but I'm sure everyone will say they are worth it

I've noticed that too! But I just can't justify spending that on workout clothes when I would rather spend it on cute going out clothes! haha! Will you be there tonight?

Omigosh, I wouldn't spent that much on a dress hahaha. I'm really frugal, though. It's all Target and Forever 21 for me!

I'm with Mrs. Smith up there... I could think of a lot more fun stuff I could buy with $98 than somethin I'm gonna sweat in!

I have to agree...that stuff is super cute but waaay too expensive for workout wear.

I know they are crazy priced. But they last for-ever. I got my fist pair back in...2005 and they are still going strong! Lulu was started in Vancouver, Canada! :)

I am one of the most frugal people ever, and Lululemon gear is one thing I will allow myself to splurge on! Very much worth the money, they hold together forever.
The fit is fantastic, they keep you comfy and dry. Check ebay if you want to try a piece for a little cheaper - or their website under "We Made Too Much"!

Ive been wanting some of their pants for a LONG time. I had a friend who worked at Equinox, and she was always wearing these black pants that looked fabulous on her! (and I swear it looked like it tucked away 10 lbs) Come to find out.. they are lululemon. If you can afford a pair and get great use out of it, I would say go for it! I plan to splurge one day... when my wedding bills are finally paid off that is!

I can't justify spending that much on something that I'm going to get sweaty in. What makes them so expensive anyway?! I think I will stick to Target and Old Navy!

i have a few things from there (they just opened a big store in nash by teh way) but i'd stick with target/old navy any day... much better bargains and still cute!

I haven't splurged on Lululemon yet, I am not sure I will ever be able to bring myself to do it, but you never know. When I hear about how wonderful things are and they last a long time, I am easily persuaded, haha.

I love the groove pant, it is very cute.

I have never bought anything from Lululemon, although I would love to! It's not affordable for me right now to spend $100 on a pair of pants for working out. It might be if my husband agreed to get them for me! :)

I've heard so many get things about Pure Barre.... do you love it? Worth the money?

Its expensive yes but it lasts forever. I have some groove pants that ive had 3 years and look just as good as the ones I bought last month! I dont buy many of the tops I have 2 and I got them both on sale. I also love the crop pants and found a few on sale. In the store you can find great deals cause they will have tons of items on sale. Not sure about online.

I really really need new gym clothes. I've been wearing these Aeropostale pants I've had since HIGH SCHOOL! They lasted this long but now have a hole...in the crotch. Ha!

Old Navy currently have my fave workout pants that are super comfy.

OMG!!!! I seriously lust over Lululemon all the time. I so wish I could afford it! I get most of my gtm attire from TJMaxx...I find some great things!!

ahhhh!!! so great!! love the post! xoxo

YES, I completely feel the same way! I love their clothes, but just can't do it. I have a hard enough time spending $50 for a pair of Nike pants. Victoria's Secret has adorbs workout stuff that is pretty affordable.

Okay, I am super duper frugal and will pay the hefty price for LuLuLemon and gave a lot of clothes and jackets from there as they are such great quality and SO flattering. I swear I look two sizes smaller as they are made as functional attire that is beyond worth every penny!!!!

EVERYONE AT CROSSFIT (including Miss Kelsey above) exclusively wear lulu. I got my first tanks and pants for x-mas and NO I WOULD NOT have paid for them because they're freaking expensive, hence the "regifting giveaway" of leftover LULU gift card, because seriously with the $25 left I couldn't even find anything to buy except a scrunchie. BUT I HAVE TO ADMIT they feel great and make me feel better about working out. If possible. And they seem like they will last a LONG time. You already entered mygiveaway I think but yeah, in summary. Overpriced. But awesome.

They are expensive, but super cute.. I love Old Navy for workout gear!

I definitely think lululemon is overpriced but so worth it. Seriously, everyone I know that owns a pair of lulu crops or pants looks fantastic in them. The tanks are comfy and stay put, I always hate when tank tops ride up and don't cover my stomach. It's worth getting one piece & seeing for yourself :)

im totally with you on the pricey lulemon! love those picks though!

i'm doing a giveaway on my blog - stop by! :)

I'm so out of the loop, I haven't even heard of this Lululemon! (holds head down in shame!) However, I think $98 is a lot of change to drop on some work out clothes! But...you do work out a ton, so it may be worth it?

Off to search...

I just did a post exactly like this a few days ago and I totally agree. The stuff is super cute and I'm sure it holds up great, but it is so hard to justify spending $98 on workout pants when I don't even spend that much on jeans!
