Get Outta Here

Yesterday, we had an unwanted visitor...
Mr. Lizard was sitting by our stove. I was scared. Yep, scared of a tiny lizard.

I locked Knox and myself in our bedroom until Fred got home. I didn't want Mr. Lizard attacking us!

So, when Fred finally got home (it was only an hour and a half after me, but it seemed like eternity), he escorted a dead Mr. Lizard out of our house. I had no idea he was even dead.

Special thanks to Fred for saving the day! I just don't know what I'll do when Baby Smithwick gets older and brings in nasty things.

Haha! My kitties usually kill the geckos that get in our house before I find them. But if I get to them first, I'll just take them outside myself. If we were talking about a bug though, I'd be in trouble!

We've had those same little lizards at our house this year. I've seen them on the patio and in the flower beds a bunch. One hasn't gotten in the house yet. I'm not a fan either!

If you have read any of my "boy" posts then you know life with boys can be an adventure. Maybe you'll have a girl and won't have to worry with that for now.
We have T.O.N.S. of lizards around my house and I fear one will get inside like they did last year. So far none this year! I HATE THEM!!!

Hahaha wow. I shouldn't really laugh because when I lived with my parents, I spied a lizard and climbed on top of the kitchen counter, then called my mom's work, made the secretary pull her out of an important meeting by telling her it was an emergency, and told her to come home to kill it!

(she didn't, of course)

(I waited there for my brother to get home from school)

Lucky for me, the kids don't do gross, creepy crawlys & neither do the pets. Our cat is the biggest weenie & -knock on wood- has NEVER brought us a dead animal offering.

If you have a girl, you won't have to worry about that. ;) I hate lizards so I totally feel your pain on this one. Funny thing is my boyfriend would probably make me move it just because I was freaking out. He likes to do that to get me to overcome my fears. Yuck.

Hahaha! I think I would have had a heart attack! Lizards are horrible, especially in the house. He blended in with your countertop pretty well!

that's funny! I have one that sits on the outside of my window at work and flairs that thing on his neck that changes colors. It's gross!

I don't blame you a bit! I was on crutches one time and I saw a lizard in the laundry room and I literally dropped the crutches and hopped on one foot into the other room screaming!!!

That's a funny story! You know, when I was a kid I had a little newt named Melon for eight years. He lived what seemed like forever and even went to college with me. Then, five years later, I found a little lizard in my classroom and freaked out. Who knows why! You'd think I would've been used to them! Yep, when Little Smithwick gets older, there's a good chance he/she will want hamsters, lizards, etc.! :)
