Three Books, Two Movies and A Series

Since my surgery, I've become a temporary couch potato.  I've managed to read three books, watch a pretty decent movie and start a new television series.

Before Christmas, I was watching Kathie Lee & Hoda and Kathie Lee read from her new children's book "The Three Gifts".  It's a great way to tell the story of the three kings and Baby Jesus.

I also managed to finish reading "The Help".  I really enjoyed this book.  I should have listened to everyone about a year ago when they were telling me to read it.  Now, I can't wait to see the movie.  I hope it's good.

And a dear friend sent me a copy of "Heaven is for Real".  I absolutely loved this book.  It's a great book for all ages.  I bawled my eyes out through part of the book, but it was so real and intriguing.  It's a MUST read!
Fred and I also watched "The Tourist".  It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but we did enjoy seeing Italy.  If you're up for a little suspense, check out this movie.

On one of my first outings, Fred was sweet enough to take me on a date to the movies.  And I got to choose the movie; so, I chose "New Year's Eve".  It's like "Valentine's Day" but on New Years Eve.  It's a great date movie.  Plus, I loved the cast of characters!  Check it out for the new year!

And since all of our shows are on hiatus, we started watching "Parenthood" on Netflix.  We LOVE it!  Why did we not watch this before?
So, what else should I check out before I lose my "couch potato" status?

I just started Parenthood 2 weeks ago on Netflix. I'm into season 2 already. I love it! I know, why don't I watch this normally!?

I felt the same way about the help! I was like "so this is why people were saying I'd like it! They were right!" :) I haven't seen the movie yet either. I want to read heaven is for real. Definitely on my list. And glad it hear you liked new years eve! I want to see it!!

I'm glad you liked the book! Wasn't that part just so touching and so real. I can't tell you how hard I prayed and thanked God after reading that chapter. I've been thinking of you everyday. I hope you're starting to feel better and ready for the New Year, your year!

You will love the movie - it stays pretty true to the book. I went and saw New Year's Eve a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I liked it better than Valentine's Day. Hope you can bounce back from your surgery very soon.

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe there are people who have not seen The Help - you simply must! It was so good, I think I went to see it 4 times!

As for what to see - I love the tv show Revenge, and I pulled out of the archives Mama Mia and National Treasure (the first one) last week. Both cheesy, but I could watch either of them over and over.

Feel better!
