After several weeks of training, I have successfully completed my first "real" 5K. I ran in the Move It Memphis 5K this past Saturday. The race took place in Downtown Memphis and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. This was the first 5K I've ever trained for and the first I've ever ran entirely.
I was so lucky to have my hubby there running with me and supporting me.

I did it in 28:30. I am so pleased with my results because I wanted to be in under 30 minutes, but I was so surprised to see that I was the 9th person in the female 25-29 division. Yay!
I'm also so proud of Fred for training like me and running this 5K. He did great!
If I can do it, you can do it! I used the Couch to 5K app to train and I think it really helped. The main thing I learned while training and running this race...I'm so much stronger than I ever thought I was. Now, on to a 10K.
