Thursday Training: Weight Loss

A lot of you have asked me if I have lost weight since I started running and the answer is...

YES.

I've lost a total of 7 pounds since I began running in January.
Honestly, my clothes are a little looser, but I can't tell a difference in pounds.  I really see it more in inches.  With the running and weight training (Pure Barre), I've noticed the biggest difference in my triceps, abdomen, and thighs.  Three of my biggest problem areas are now a little more toned than they were 6 months ago. And that makes me smile.

Now, I am not self-conscious to wear shorts or tank tops.

Eating is my biggest issue.  I have a sweet tooth the size of Texas and I love fried food.  I tried to cut back, but not as much as I had liked.  I think if I had more self-control over what I ate, I would have seen more results.

I started slacking and quit using the My Fitness Pal app on my phone because I didn't want to read how many pieces of pizza I actually ate.  I've now decided to get back on the bandwagon and hopefully I can do a little better this time around.

I didn't start this journey to just lose weight.  I started it to live a healthier lifestyle.

You go girl :) I use My Fitness Pal so you should friend me if you get back on. However, I didn't use it at the lake over the weekend and I stuffed my face. It felt good to do that actually but I'm back on the bandwagon this week.

Great job! That's pretty exciting to see the difference. :)

I don't know where it came from but I've got a major sweet tooth lately! I used to crave salty & crunchy but now I'm all about sweet & creamy - usually with fruit!

I hate wearing tank tops and SHORTS!! When I feel good about wearing them, that's when I'll know running has paid off! haha.

You look great!!!

I think you look fantastic! Running feels good and is a great way to be healthier, even if you have that extra slice of pizza, you deserve at treat now and then ;)

You look fantastic! WAy to go, girl! I agree about not realyl watching the scale, but knowing how things fit and how you FEEL. Such a difference. And when you do step on that scale and it's a good difference, that helps too! :)
