DIY: The Crayon Melt

By now, you know that some of my great ideas come from Pinterest.  That's a lie, they all do.  Well, this crafty project is no different.

I saw this crayon melt a few months ago and it looked so simple and fun.  I finally remembered to get a pack of crayons at the store and decided to make this creation my own.
my version...

I made mine a little different because I wanted the colors to mix and overlap.  I'm not sure where I'm going to hang this, but I think it will be great for a future playroom or even nursery decoration.

This craft would be great for kids to help make.  It seriously took about 10 minutes to do it all.  The crayons melt and dry quick!

Have you tried this?

Yours looks great!!! I think I need to make one for the playroom that we'll be creating sometime soon. I love how everyone's turns out differently!

I've seen that on Pinterest, but it always looked really difficult to me! I love how your colors overlap! This turned out great!

I love this!!! Have been wanting to do it, but I was not sure it would actually work. Want to make this for Parkers playroom! What did you use to adhere the crayons?

Omigosh. This turned out FABULOUS. I have a soft spot in my heart for crayons. I was a TOTAL Crayola kid growing. I'm SOOOOOOOO doing this once we (finally) have kids of our own haha ;-)

was wondering if it worked

Caroline, it looks so awesome! You did great! What size canvas did you use? I've seen so many that the crayons didn't melt far enough down, so it looked kind of silly, but yours looks wonderful!
