21 Week Bump Date and a Tumble
Size of the Baby? He's about the size of a pomegranate.
Maternity Clothes? I actually found a cute pair of Jessica Simpson maternity jeans on sale at Macy's. I love her jeans anyway so these will be a perfect transition into the fall.
Stretch Marks? No. I am still using my Cocoa Butter morning, noon, and night.
Gender? Baby Boy #2
Name? Still no name.
Sleep? Hello, insomnia. It also doesn't help hearing every little noise Eli makes on the monitor. `
Cravings? Strawberry flavored things. Thankfully my mom bought me some of my favorite strawberry butter to help fix one of my cravings.
What I Miss? Being able to exercise.
Movement? I still feel the flutters. They always get me excited.
Belly Button? In.
Best Moment? Seeing our babe on the ultrasound Friday night.
I got off of bed rest on Tuesday and took a tumble on Friday. Yes, I was leaving a store and fell in the parking lot. Thankfully I had enough sense to turn my body and not fall on my stomach. I got some pretty bad cuts on my hands and knees, but kept my belly safe.
Of course it would happen at 4:45pm on a Friday, so I called my doctor anyway. They told me to head to Labor and Delivery to be checked out. I drove myself there since I was seemingly ok. Eli was at my mother-in-law's, Fred was at the gym and my parents were out of town.
I got to the hospital at about 5pm and they took me back at about 5:30pm. I had a feeling everything was ok with our babe, but I was still scared. They first did the doplar on him and thankfully he was still moving and shaking and his heart was going strong. Fred hadn't made it there by this time and I was really starting to panic. They wouldn't let me eat or drink which is poor torture for a pregnant woman. I had to wait until they got orders from the doctor on call about whether or not to do an ultrasound or keep me there.
The doctor on call ordered an ultrasound, but since there are only two machines in the entire hospital, I had to wait my turn. The ultrasound tech didn't get to me until about 8:30pm. She was very nice and made us laugh when she commented on how long his arms are. Hello, look at my 6'6" husband. Our little guy was looking great as were my other inside parts. They discharged me at about 9pm.
I am so thankful that I just walked away with cuts and scratches. I don't know what happened or why, but my guardian angel was watching over my son and I.
I just pray these next 19 weeks are much more uneventful than the past 21 have been.
